Agreement signed between the meat processing company HFG Sverige AB and VFM International to deliver a procurement solution including a supplier follow-up system.

General
During first half of 2006 VFM delivered a solution to HFG Sverige for administration of price negotiations and quantity negotiations with suppliers. The solution includes a system for HFG as well as an application for the supplier. The decision of a second phase was taken during spring 2007 and includes further development of the different solutions. The result is a solution which also manage the orders and daily calls as well as supplier follow-up. The solution comprises of 15 suppliers and manages large amount of data. VFM hosts and take responsibility for the security of the total solution.

Result
The result is improved transparency of the information between supplier and the procurement department. The relevance of the information and the real-time access of the information have resulted in major time savings and cost reductions. The result is also that the supplier now has a better tool in their daily communication with HFG Sverige

Short about the customer
HFG Sverige AB is a fully owned subsidiary to Hilton Food Group plc based on Ireland. The mother company has another four similar sites in Europe. The company is a leading specialist meat-packing business supplying major international food retailers. They primarily supply Tesco, Ahold, Albert Heijn and ICA, from state of the art facilities located in the UK, Ireland, Holland, Sweden and Poland The Swedish company has ICA as their only customer and processes about 650 tonnes packed meat per week (april 2007) going to approximately 1600 ICA stores. HFG Sverige AB was founded 2003 and turns over about SEK 1.5 billion per year. They have over 350 employees. a.
