2008-01-18 The I-Deal Trade Solution implemented for several users within ICA AB to handle promotions. General ICA has installed the I-Deal Trade solution to increase efficiency, quality and follow-up of promotions. The System was installed during fourth quarter of 2007 and went live in January 2008. The solution includes a web-based application which is real-time integrated with ICA’s main supplier of consumer packed meat. VFM takes responsibility for hosting and security as well as for future maintenance and development. Result The solution implies ICA to run the daily dialogue with their main supplier for ready-packed meat, HFG over VFM’s communication platform. It comprises an overview of information flow and access to business critical data which are handled in real time. It results in major quality improvements and time gains. It also comprises ICA to have a better information tool in their daily communication with suppliers. Short about the customer The ICA Group is one of the leading food retailers in Scandinavia consisting of 2,300 ICA-owned shops as well as shops owned by the merchant in Sweden, Norway and the Baltic.
